About The Role

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support prototyping, test setups, and mechanical integration across the Delta platform.

This is a hands-on role. You will design, build, assemble, and iterate physical hardware used for testing and early flight development. You’ll work closely with engineers across autonomy, hardware, and avionics teams, helping turn concepts into real, testable systems.

This role is ideal for someone who learns by building and wants real exposure to aerospace-adjacent hardware development.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build mechanical test rigs and fixtures
  • Create CAD models and assemblies for prototype hardware
  • Assemble and integrate mechanical components and housings
  • Support ground testing and test setup preparation
  • Iterate designs based on test results and feedback
  • Help keep prototype hardware organized, accessible, and testable

What You Should Have

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar
  • Comfort with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360
  • Interest in hands-on prototyping and physical systems
  • Willingness to assemble, disassemble, and iterate hardware
  • Curiosity and a bias toward action

Nice to Have

  • Experience with 3D printing, light machining, or composites
  • Experience building mechanical fixtures or test setups
  • UAV, robotics, or hardware project experience
