About The Role
We’re looking for an early-career Aerospace Mechanical Engineer to help design, build, test, and iterate airframes and mechanical subsystems.
You don’t need prior aircraft experience. What we value most is strong fundamentals, CAD ability, curiosity, and the drive to turn ideas into hardware that flies.
This role is hands-on. You’ll be involved in CAD, prototyping, test setups, and flight support.
What You’ll Do
- Design and iterate mechanical and airframe components for electrically powered autonomous aircraft
- Create and maintain CAD models and assemblies
- Build prototypes with 3D printing, composites, and basic machining
- Support ground testing and flight test preparation
- Build test rigs, fixtures, and simple tooling
- Analyze test results and failures and apply learnings to next iterations
- Collaborate with autonomy, avionics, and systems engineers
What You Should Have
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong mechanical fundamentals and problem solving
- Experience or comfort with CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
- Passion for building and testing real hardware
- Ability to learn airframe and flight concepts quickly
- A bias toward action in a fast prototype environment
You don’t need previous aircraft or airframe experience. If you can learn fast and ship parts that work, you’ll thrive here.
Nice to Have
- UAV, RC, aerospace, or flight project experience
- Experience with 3D printing, composites, CNC
- Exposure to structural analysis or basic FEA
- Test rig or flight test support experience
